Enrollment: Limited to 10
Cost: $60 including all materials
Light refreshments will be served.
Spend an afternoon at The Inn on
Park Street with Chef/Chocolatier Liz Lowe and make Valentine chocolates for your
sweetie.
Liz owned The Queen of Tarts bakery in Burlington, VT for many years and brings her
considerable experience to the Inn for this session. An expert candy maker, Liz trained in
France at La Varenne and then worked for famed chocolatier Robert Linxe at his Maison Au
Chocolat in Paris.
She has also studied with current White House Pastry Chef Roland Mesnier and with Albert Kumin.
Albert was the White House Pastry Chef in the Carter administration, “opened” Disney World in
Florida, and currently lives in Vermont where he founded Green Mountain Chocolates.
You will work right along side Liz in a group of no more than 10, learning how to temper
chocolate and make truffles and molded chocolates. We will also make a chocolate box to hold
your confections.
This is a rare opportunity to work next to a professional chocolatier and get first hand
instruction.
We will provide:
-
Late light supper Friday evening when you arrive: Chowder, salad, bread,
dessert
-
Coffee at 7AM outside your rooms
-
Full country breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday: buffet of juices, baked goods,
cereal, granola, yogurt, fruit, and then a choice between 2 breakfast entrees such as omelets
or french toast

-
Saturday night dinner with appetizer, salad, main course, and dessert
